It's Cinco de Mayo! How can I make this fun and yet healthy?

Everyone is drinking Margaritas and tacos! How can I make this healthy for me?

Yes! Cinco de Mayo. The Mexican celebration that most Mexicans don't celebrate. #truestory

Besides that, how can you make this healthy for you? It is possible! There are options here. If you are counting calories or macros, you can always save your calories for the splurging event. And don't forget to not skip your workout that day. Heck, you could always do a harder workout on that day.

You can always opt for a taco with a corn tortilla with grilled chicken or fish. They are yummy! Add a little bit of hot sauce and you are good to go. Just limit your portion and the number of tacos.

However, the real temptation is the damn margaritas and nacho chips!!! Seriously! What's a Cinco de Mayo celebration without margaritas and nacho chips?

It's the sugar and artificial flavoring of the margarita mixes that cause havoc to the calories. But they taste soooo good! However, if you are able to talk to the bartender making your drink, which rarely happens, opt for less ingredients and see if they can eliminate the use of the mix. Tequila is the ingredient for a margarita. The calories for tequila is averaging at 63 calories for 1 fl.oz. Not bad! So maybe add a little bit of lime, triple sec and Voila! Low cal margarita.

Now for the nacho chips. Yeah, I can't help you there. They are just evil. You will have to say "not today Satan" and call a night! They are addicting. There is no stopping the eating. So carry on with your low cal margarita and grilled chicken tacos and enjoy your Cinco de Mayo! he mix. Tequila is THE ingredient for a margarita.
